Did you ever wonder where the name Almage came from?  

I did and this is what I uncovered. In June 1982 Almage came into existence when three English parishes in East-end Montreal, St. Aloysius, St. Margaret’s, and St. Georges, formed a social club that morphed into the Almage Senior Community Centre. The name ‘Almage’ is derived from a combination of the first two letters of each of the three churches; al for St Aloysius, ma for St. Margaret’s and ge for St. George.
